Siena Fiorentino

My name is Ms. Siena Fiorentino and I am a 2nd grade ICT general education teacher this year at PS 236. I hold multiple teaching degrees and certifications, including a Bachelors degree in Child Development and Psychology, and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Columbia University's Teachers College. While I am new to PS 236 this year, I have previously taught 2nd grade at another public school in the Bronx as well. I'm wholeheartedly believe in the potential of every child and truly enjoy working with all levels and ages of students. I go above and beyond for my students and strive to be there for them in good times and bad. Outside of teaching, some of my favorite things are reading, dancing, coffee, and hanging out with my cat! In 2nd grade math, we will build on our knowledge of addition and subtraction and advance to using numbers up to 1000. In ELA, we will continue to deepen our knowledge of phonics skills learned in prior grades and explore relevant and interesting books in a variety of genres.
